Boost.space from the Start it @ČSOB programme helped the Central Military Hospital. The programme searching for information on covid-19 will be offered free of charge also to other hospitals

The start-up company Boost.space has developed for the Central Military Hospital in Prague a unique solution for finding and sharing information and experience from abroad concerning COVID-19. The system automatically scans more than 50,000 online news sources from all over the world and notifies users about new articles. Boost.space is part of the acceleration programme Start it @ČSOB.

The project was developed at the request of the Central Military Hospital to make looking for up-to-date information about the coronavirus pandemic more efficient. The articles allow users to navigate the new situation faster. They present an overview of various approaches such as medical procedures, potentially useful drugs and protection and prevention measures in various countries.

“Thanks to the team’s commitment, we were able to deploy a full version of the system within 24 hours, because speed was our top priority. Now we’re ready to offer the system free of charge also to other Czech hospitals,” says Tadeáš Marek from Boost.space.

“We’re excited by how quickly Boost.space managed to come up with a specific solution that will greatly help with our fight against the spread of covid-19. It turned out that the selection of companies for our special coronavirus round was right,” said Zuzana Paulovics, head of the acceleration programme Start it @ČSOB. The Start it @ČSOB program is built on the Start it @KBC project run by its parent company, the largest accelerator on the market in Belgium

“We’re currently testing the system at the Central Military Hospital. It helps us monitor and share new information and articles from all over the world concerned with resolving the current situation,” says MUDr. Martin Barták from the CMH.

The Boost.space system can automatically sort through all articles on the treatment, prevention and hygienic measures related to COVID-19 and immediately share them with others. Doctors can see which articles have already been read by their peers and which were marked as interesting for others. Tadeáš Marek says that the project is so universal that it can be potentially deployed to find and monitor new information also in other industries.
